I need some help with this question, I've never analysed before and my plan is chaotic. I will attach as much information as I can for clarification. My leader is Sir Richard Branson.

Analyse the leader using two concepts drawn from Block 2

Structure I've tried to plan:

Concept 1: Skills, Behaviour and situational approach.

Explanation of this concept - what is it?

Example of how this concept applies to him and how he fits into this concept.

Evidence to support the example and explanation.

Use leadership grid by Blake and Mouton (1985) to show how the concept chosen applies to Branson and what categories he would fit into.

Concept 2: Trait theory

Explanation of trait theory - what is it?

Background of Branson e.g. when he created his radio show and started to structure the foundations of virgin. His intelligence and drive enabled him to....

Example of his traits: It was a risky move to sell virgin records because.........but it made the company ........(evidence)

Explain: This example shows how Branson is driven, willing to take responsibility etc.....

In times of success he still encouraged and worked on building a stable team.....

His constant drive and 'screw it, lets do it' attitude has allowed him to lead his business to perform at an elite global level and outcompete rivals.
