Hello, I read the chapter for this book and it didn't have examples..I'm struggle to get good information online, can someone help?

Assignment (choose 1): Based on the reading this week in both of the books, can you think of an economic justification that the government would have the generous subsidy programs that are in place for agricultural products? The key with this question is using economic concepts to justify the existence of these programs (whether or not you agree with that justification). Do you agree with these programs? Why or why not? .
