Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me out. I'm having a difficult time understanding this assignment.

Consider an example start-up company for whom you are designing a network security architecture. The company is a small manufacturer of wooden toys, with the following departments and their basic network requirements

: Sales / Marketing Full Internet Access with WebEx Accounting Ability to browse the web and use instant messaging Manufacturing Limited web browsing only Shipping and Receiving Access to shipping vendors only The company will need the following network servers: DNS Server Linux Apache web server for product and support information Secure order processing application server for external customers using EDI Microsoft Server for Exchange email server and Active Directory Directory Services SQL database server for the secure order processing system

Step One: Research the security concerns for the servers/services listed, determine which ones will require access from outside the network, and which will be only on the local area network. Create a diagram showing the Internet, the DMZ, and the Trusted network, along with which servers will reside in each.

Step Two: Research network security devices that were discussed in this unit, and determine where they would be logically implemented on your network diagram, and place them in the diagram.

Step Three: Research the required ports for the various services, and any ports required from the trusted network. Create a table with columns for a rule number, source address or network, source port, destination address or network, destination port, and action (Deny, Drop, Allow, etc). List all the rules based on your research and analysis. Be sure to list your rules in the correct order based on our class discussions and the readings in the text.
