Hello Professor and fellow classmates, If I were to think of non-management functions that can consume a manager's time if you are in the store management role, I would say it would be organizing the shelves, cleaning up after others and creating schedules. I think these things could be delegated to others and that would be the manager's job to identify who could be those potential supervisors that can help support the manager. I think it's important for the manager to be able to plan the weeks and months with thein their Team and be able to delegate and organize who is going to oversee what. I think a good manager will be able to train the Team of people so the Manager can have the ability to take care of some important items that may require their attention. They can schedule one on one meetings with the Team to ensure continues support with their employees. Reply to post
