Collaborative partnerships with other resource organizations enhance early learning programs for all children by providing additional resources, expertise, and funding. They allow for the integration of therapeutic goals from other programs, support the transfer of developmental skills across different contexts, and enable the adaptation of staffing, communication strategies, equipment, and grouping ratios (Guralnick, 2011; Cross, Traub, Hutter-Pishgahi & Shelton, 2004). These partnerships also facilitate the identification of funding for support and program adaptations. The Individualized Program Plan (IPP) can be adjusted with help from these partnerships, including changes in staff, ways of communicating, equipment, and group sizes. The partnerships can help find funding for these changes and support. This is helpful when the funding comes from local early intervention programs or other service providers funded by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Children and Youth Services. Working together with other organizations can improve early learning programs, making sure they meet the unique needs of each child.
