The website that I found on mindfulness was very informative. This website has links for how to meditate, mindfulness explained, likes to keynote speakers, and other newsletters and magazine links about mindfulness. The Maine page dives in to explaining mindfulness and how most people are aware of what it means. Being present and focusing what you are doing in the present moment. (something I speak to my daughter about a lot, and we try to practice a lot!) The website then gives some examples of how to be practice mindfulness like taking a small break throughout your day to check in with yourself and listen to your body, also you could do little meditations throughout your day, or trying to meditate while doing yoga or exercising.
The benefits of mindfulness can help us reduce our stress levels which is great for overall health of your body and mind. It also helps refresh your mind and just be present. A good point they made was to not focus on the benefits of mindfulness and to just enjoy your practice. Mindfulness also helps expand your mind while letting go of everything that isn't the now. It can help you become more creative and enjoy a peaceful lifestyle. As great as mindfulness is, it can be hard for some people to get into the flow of it. We often get overwhelmed by our thoughts and just focus on that instead of trying to let go and be present. The website then lifts 8 different ways to check in and practice your meditation. This was all very helpful information and gave some great tips like sitting straight up but not too stiff and to really tune into your body. There was also like for a 5-minute breathing meditation. I enjoyed all the infohttps://www.mindful.org/what-is-mindfulness/had and bookmarked it so I can revisit it.
