Help me with this please I will be very grateful Gary recently travelled from Amsterdam to Perth, Western Australia to attend a job interview and compete in an international swimming competition. During the flight, the male passenger next to Gary was agitated and talking to himself aloud about blowing up the plane. Gary left his seat and reported this to a steward. The captain was then advised and the plane diverted to Kuala Lumpur without incident and the agitated passenger was escorted away by police. All other passengers had to disembark to the terminal while the plane was checked and cleared to fly. The plane eventually proceeded on to Perth but during the flight, Gary was injured by carry- on baggage, which fell from the overhead locker after Bryan, the passenger next to Gary, opened the locker. A heavy bag fell and hit Gary on the head causing bleeding and swelling. Gary was looked after by a doctor on board and when the plane arrived in Perth (four hours after the original due time for Gary's arrival), Gary was taken by ambulance to hospital. Gary had to stay overnight because although the cut on his head and the swelling was not serious, Gary suffered concussion and the doctors wanted him to stay as a precaution. Gary was advised not to take part in the swimming competition in two days' time. The competition carried prize money and Gary was considered a favourite to win at least one of the events. Gary also missed the job interview as he was still in hospital. Bryan is so upset about what happened to Gary, he now suffers from anxiety and has to have treatment monthly and medication daily. He blames the airline, claiming that only staff should be able to access the lockers during flights and not passengers. Gary decided not to fly home to Amsterdam and instead decided to enjoy a 43- day cruise with his wife Chen who arrived in Perth when she heard that Gary was injured. They cruised from Perth to Southampton but during the cruise, Chen slipped on the dance floor after another passenger had spilled his drink. Chen twisted her ankle and she required crutches and medication for 14 days. REQUIRED With reference to the Montreal and Athens Conventions, advise of the following: a) If Gary can claim damages for the flight delay b) If Gary can claim for his injuries, his withdrawal from the swimming competition and loss of earnings from the potential employment c) If Bryan can claim for the costs of his treatment and medications d) If Chen can claim for the cost of the crutches and medications
