HELP SETTING THESE UP INTO A VISIO CHART? Draw a topology of hooking the machines together in the project document. Identify each of the machines on the diagram. Also, include the following.
identify cable (transmission media, standard)
it is a channel that carries the information from the sender to the receiver
3(total) advantages/disadvantages of the topology/cablecorpx_machine1: Microsoft Windows Server
This server will be used to run most of the services on your network (see below).
corpx_machine2: Ubuntu Server
This server will be used to run FTP.
corpx_machine3: Microsoft Windows client
This machine will be used as your client machine to test the services on your network. The machine
should also be setup to join the domain after Active Directory is setup on the primary server, and to
receive its network settings (IP, subnet mask, default gateway, DNS, etc.) via DHCP once this has been
setup.
corpx_router: openwrt router
This will be used solely as a router/NAT to connect your network to the outside world. You should also
allow port forwarding to needed services on your network.
**Windows 10 has already been preinstalled on the client machine and the routing firmware has also
been installed, but the server operating systems will need to be installed on machine1 and machine 2.
The images for the machines can be found on the iso remote datastore on vCenter server.

Required Services
The following is a list of the required services that must be implemented on the network. Where
indicated, you should use corpx, where x (number) designates your corporation (e.g. corp1). All services
below will need to be installed on machine1 except where specified.
NAT (RRAS)
***configured on router***
Implement routing with port forwarding to the needed services inside your LAN.
Active Directory (corpx.com)
You will need to create a domain with the same name as your DNS. Users for the network should be
setup and administered in AD. Also, your client machine and Linux server should be joined to the AD
after it has been setup on the Windows server. AD should be provided only to clients within your
network.
Provided docs: MSIS4523_ActiveDirectory_DNS
DNS (corpx.com)
You will need to manage DNS for your network. All relevant services should resolve to the specified
hostname on the network and should be available to users outside the network. The external root DNS
server (199.100.16.100) on the outside network which points to your DNS server is configured to
forward DNS requests from other corporations to the DNS address on your respective network.
Provided docs: MSIS4523_ActiveDirectory_DNS (installation is done along with AD above)
DHCP Server
***configured on router***
You should provide addressing including the subnet mask, default gateway, DNS server, etc. This
should be provided only to clients within your network.
Provided docs: MSIS4523_DHCP
Web Server (www.corpx.com)
You should provide a webpage viewable by clients on your network as well as users on other networks.
You will need to update DNS to allow users to use www.corpx.com from a browser to view your
webpage. Be sure to personalize your page (identify corporation, your name, colors, picture).
Provided docs: MSIS4523_Web
FTP Server (ftp.corpx.com)
***configured on Ubuntu server***
Allow employees to upload and download files both from within and outside the network. You will need
to update DNS to allow users to use ftp.corpx.com to connect to your FTP server.
Provided docs: MSIS4523_FTP_Ubuntu22
Remote Desktop (rdp.corpx.com)
***configured on the client machine***
Allow an employee to access the desktop on their Windows 10 machine at work from outside work.
Provided docs: MSIS4523-project_RDP
Email Server
An email server should provide the ability for employees to send email both to other employees as well
as to employees of other corporate networks. A web interface should be provided for employees whether
they are on the network or on another corporate network.
Provided docs: MSIS4523_Exchange2019
