Here the state of florida, while it is not well regarded by many, it is necessary for the good functioning of the community. One good way of using such fees is to address the rising housing cost that we are currently facing, and the fact that income of the population is not matching the rising cost of living. Therefore, there are some initiative in place in the state of Florida to address affordability of housing through the granting of fee waivers or deferrals of such impact fees to developers pledging to offer affordable housing to residents. I believe in this context it is a great innovative method that would benefits all parties involved namely: residents, developers and local government
