Company History
-Jim has invested 6 months before launching in market research, product ideation, reaching out to vendore, product creation, product labeling, packaging and testing out with a few family and friends.
-Jim started Herballife in October of 2019 and It was an online launch on his instagram and facebook. His first product that he launched were the Organic Essential Oil Blends (Five blends).
-His first launch received a great response because it was mostly his friends and family from instagram circle. he also worked with Digital Main Street to set up company current square website. (he is not happy with the quality of the website but it's free and functional, which is a good thing for this hase in his business journey.)
-Jim has also set up hir Instagram page and upload content (however not as frequently as he would like to)
-Then he launched the Teas in February and I got a good response for the first week.
-There is sustainable healthy growth in the Canadian market for organic food items and herbal personal care products. This market is generally dominated by large retailers such as Saje Natural Wellness, DAVIDsTEA, NOW etc. However, there has been a huge rise in small businesses since the Pandemic started. Along with the rise in these companies the awareness and the need to support small businesses has also grown. Lastly, I have experienced healthy and empowering relationships between multiple local competitors that I had the opportunity to meet. Some of these businesses that have local stores/ online businesses that sell similar products in Brampton and around GTA include- The Scented L'air, Green & Frugal, Cico Aroma, TS Blends.
