(The planned "stock level" should never drop below 45 once you build it up to the desired quantity.) Your capacity constraint is the motherboard test work center (MB-xxxx). You cannot schedule more production than you have available capacity at this work center. This means that your capacity requirement hours can never be greater than your available capacity hours. In other words, capacity load percentage, which is the ratio of the capacity requirement hours to the available capacity hours, should never be 100% or greater! - You also want to minimize excess inventory, thus, you do not want to end a month with the stock level above 45 unless it is absolutely necessary (which it will be for one month). This could be the case if you need to build extra inventory because of a future month capacity problem. You should use the excel template ( I provided) to develop your plan. Help!
