You are the Human Resources Director for Quantum Tech, a start-up firm in San Francisco and you have begun a major recruiting / hiring campaign due to recently going public.

All the tech firms in Silicon Valley have been under tremendous pressure to diversify their human capital as the percentages of minorities (including women) in their workplaces is very low and is dominated by white males.

The San Francisco Chronicle has called you and asked you for a statement on how you will level the playing field and increase the percentage of minorities among your workforce and if you will employ affirmative action (utilize quotas) emphasizing the recruitment and hiring members of the minority populations in your massive hiring campaign.

Deliverables:

• Write a statement (medium-size paragraph) describing your organizations stance on affirmative action
• The statement should be based on your personal beliefs regarding affirmative action and spin your message to apply to your organization
