Jerome, George and Harris are old friends. They agree that it would pleasant to go on holiday together. After some discussion they think that a trip by canoe down the Wanganui River would be quite delightful. It is agreed that Jerome will arrange the hire of a suitable canoe, George will book the accommodation and that Harris will be provide the necessary transport in his 4WD recreational vehicle. On the day of departure Harris says that his 4WD vehicle is unavailable and that he no longer wishes to come. George, it now transpires, has done nothing about accommodation. As result the holiday is cancelled and Jerome is left owing $600 for the hire of the canoe. Jerome wishes to obtain a contribution at least from George and Harris who he blames equally for the fiasco.

Advise Jerome on whether he would be likely to succeed
