Tuanan Bestari Berhad produces its product through two production departments: Designing Department and Machining department. The overhead absorption rate for the Designing Department and Machining Department is based on direct labour hour and machine hour respectively. The data for the period ended 30 September 2018 are as follows: Departments Designing Machining Direct labour cost (RM) 386,530 215,200 Production overhead (RM) 375,211 517,650 Direct labour hour 94.450 30.000 Machine hours 85,000 47,000 During September 2018, Tuanan Bestari Berhad received a special order for Job No 11335 from a customer. The following information is available for the job: Designing Machining Material used (RM) 178 367 Direct labour (RM) 232 402 Direct labour hours 25 45 Machine hours 30 95 i. Hire special purpose machine from Syarikat CFC Machinery Rental for an amount of RM500. Selling expenses is 25% of prime cost. Total administrative cost is RM350. iv. The management had decided to set a profit of 20% on selling price for Job No. 1 1335
