1. Andy and Sue booked out The Jupiter, a stylish lakeside restaurant, for their wedding reception for 102 guests. Unfortunately, Sue and Andy were forced to cancel the wedding and the reception 1 day prior to the event. The Jupiter was expecting to make a profit of $7000 (on alcoholic beverages which was the average profit a party of 100 wedding guests generates for this establishment). It is claiming that Sue and Andy must may this amount. Additionally, the Jupiter is claiming damages for a lucrative contract it would have beenawarded (been able to sign) for attaining the required 'quota' of wedding events hosted. Nothosting this event means that The Jupiter does not make the quota and misses out on the contract. The contract was worth $25,000.

The Jupiter demands Sue and Andy pay damages in the total amount of $32,000.

Advise Sue and Andy as to whether The Jupiter has a legitimate claim for damages in the amount of $32,000. Use appropriate case law to support you answer.
