Hi, can you please advise me or help me out in this. Actually I am looking to explain regarding the best advice to james Vassell this also sets out the the elements of the arrested offence. I just want to mention in the advice if those elements were met .

James cassell was arrested on murder contrary to UK COMMON LAW.

As a lawyer what applicable defences I can advice to my client james. And whether the clinet should answer questions in police interview.

Also, I have mention the transcript and clinet instruction for your reference. OIC DISCLOSURE TRANSCRIPT

The victim, Ali McCloud, was a drinking buddy of JAMES CASSELL. Ali was an alcoholic. Over the weekend, James spent three days drinking alcohol and smoking meth [Methamphetamine, a strong stimulant and illegal class A drug] with Ali and Ali's girlfriend Chaz. James was arrested yesterday for the murder of Ali who was stabbed multiple times. James was arrested outside Ali's house on the way to kill the neighbour's cat. Chaz witnessed the murder and said that James shouted, "stop laughing at me clown", grabbed a chef's knife and stabbed Ali multiple times. Chaz stated that James always talked about clowns if he had been drinking or smoking meth and never spoke of them when he was not drinking.

JAMES CASSELL: INSTRUCTIONS TRANSCRIPT

Full disclosure. I have a few issues. I have schizophrenia and autism. Hit the jackpot there didn't I. Doctors have told me I should not drink alcohol because it can cause a psychotic episode. I don't have an alcohol problem, doctors said I don't, but I do like a drink. Life's too short. Right? I know the doctors are right 'cos in the past benders have caused psychotic episodes. When I drink, I see clowns. Big feet, red noses, big red painted mouths and everything. The clowns stand there and laugh at me. I HATE it. One was so bad I ended up in an institution [mental hospital]. I did try, not drinking and not smoking meth and it really helped my schizophrenia. I had no psychotic episodes. I saw no clowns. But life was so boring. As I said life's short. You only get one. Right? So, I took up me partying again. Psychotic episodes and those clowns came back. But ignoring the clowns, it was fun. Can't always ignore them though. That is life. Gives with one hand. Takes with the other. Been on a bit of a bender. Think I started drinking about 3-days ago. Drank pretty steadily for three-days, probably a litre of vodka each day and smoked some crystal meth [Methamphetamine, a strong stimulant and illegal class A drug]. Have a bit of a pounder. Feels like a hammer in my head. Police doctor gave me

paracetamol [mild legal painkiller]. Lot of good that did me. Still got a smacking headache. So, I remember going to see my friend, Ali, at his flat. We boozed for a good day. Had a right laugh. His girlfriend, Chez, was there too. Then nothing. I don't remember nothing till I came out of the flat covered in blood carrying a kitchen knife. I was shouting. "That's Ali stopped. Now for that cat." The cat is clear. It was the neighbour's cat. It had cried all night. I was going to shut it up. I was arrested before I could get to the cat. I have been arrested for Ali's murder. So, I guess I killed him. I don't remember nothing though.

QESTION- Further to this what law we can sets out under the common law of UK- criminal law and the relevant cases.
