An amusement park ride has two lines, one for regular customers, and a fast lane for customers who had paid a premium.

• Fast lane customers are seated first
  • that are seated in a dedicated section
  • that section takes up 1/3 of the total seats for the ride
• After the fast lane customers are seated, the regular customers are then allowed on the ride
• Regular customers are allowed in fast lane seats if there are no fast lane customers to take them.

The ride itself lasts 4 minutes and takes 2 minutes to offload the riders. The ride holds 30 riders.

Question:

If the third assumption, that newly arriving customers are not allowed to board the ride once boarding has started, is changed so that new customers are allowed to board (assume it takes 6 seconds to board a customer), how would that change your simulation?
