Hi,

I am working on a statistics paper that I need to report my findings from the calculated tables. The research question I am answering is: Is there a relationship between obesity and a history of diabetes?

I determined my sample size from the population of 1000 in G*Power. The calculation that met all of the assumptions for a chi square test of independence, this is what I figured out from the tables I am submitting to you to review.

The relationship between obesity and diabetes history was tested with a chi-square test of independence. All expected cell frequencies were greater than five. There was a statistically significant association between obesity and history of diabetes, 2(1) = 17.10, p < .001. The strength of the association was small, Cramer's V = .138.
