Hi, I have a question regarding frustration in UK Contract law.

A is an electrical store that rents out items and they have 6 fans. A enters into contracts with 3 companies to provide them with fans and each company needs two fans.

The loss of the first two fans comes under frustration, that I have answered already.

In the second set of two fans, one of the fans is destroyed by someone who steps on the wire. The company that ordered for these two fans, C, demands that A finds replacement fans immediately. The other two fans available are for D, and A does not want to give the fans to C.

My question is, can C hold A liable for breach or is it a case of pure frustration? Can it also be self induced frustration on that basis that A should have had some kind of barriers or security around the fans?
