Hi I have some questions that builds up my previous question. Sorry a bit repeat. case someone else reading I planning develop tissue phantom gels mimic the dielectric properties human muscle tissue area I planning use distilled water and the ingredients hydroxyethylcellulose with glycerol, polyethylene glycol with calcium chloride and Agar. The HEC is the ground component which is dissolved in water. The water is heated to avoid clumping and mixing difficulty. I am using a total volume of ml Previously I only tested to dissolve HEC in water to form a phantom gel and found that a concentration of was the maximum concentration without mixing difficulty as well as the formation of air bubbles. The permittivity of this HEC phantom was too high and the conductivity too low I am aiming to achieve a permittivity around and a conductivity around The frequency range I use for muscle phantom to represent pelvic is between MHz and the frequency MHz is typically a frequency used for muscle phantoms. To reduce the permittivity I am planning to use polyethylene glycol and glycerol. I also want to make the phantom gel more solid and rigid, as the intitial HEC phantom is rather weak., by using calcium chloride and agar. I want to develop three different phantom. First phantom I am planning to use HEC, polyethylene glycol and calcium chloride dissolved in water while heating. The second phantom I am planning to use HEC, agar and calcium chloride and the last phantom using HEC, glycerol and calcium chloride. My question is what concentration is most suitable to use for each ingredient to mimic the dielectric properties permittivity and conductivity as much as possible? Since I am using a very high molecular weight of HEC, should I reduce the HEC concentration from the initial Also do you know the order in which ingredients I should pour into the solution? The experiments I did before, when I only used HEC dissolved in water, I heated of water and gradually poured HEC to avoid clumping and air bubble formation. After all the powder was dissolved, I poured the remaining of water which was stored in a fridge to cool down the phantom. After I poured the cold water i obtained a homogeneous gel phantom. It was pretty viscous, but it was not solid and rigid to be able to hold it in my hand, which is what I want to achieve also. So can you also please tell me the process of making each of the three phantoms as well as the concentrations that would be the most suitable for each phantom to achieve dielectric properties mimicking muscle tissue pelvic as close as possible and also achieving a solid gel that I can hold in my hand and that is pretty sustainable in the long run.
