Group Project: Teams of 4 or 5 students are required to collaborate on group projects. The project will be delivered, both as a presentation and written paper in week 8. The grading rubric is provided on BlackBoard. Project #1: Rising national debt of the US has been a major economic concern of many politicians and economists the US in the past few decades. In a seven to nine-page APA 6th edition-formatted document discuss the history of the US national debt from 1980s through the present time and explain the reasons for and/or the historical events that led to a surge in the national debt during this period. Answer the following questions: 1. Discuss the consequences of a large national debt from a theoretical point of view. Explain why we have or have not observed these consequences in the US. Specifically, explain in what way, if any, has the US economic growth, inflation, unemployment, and interest rates been affected by the growing US national debt. 2.
