O QUESTION 5 Chris goes out most Friday night and usually gets quite drunk. On one of these nights he gets in an argument with another bloke who says that Chris can't throw a rugby ball properly and trying to show off, Chris breaks a window at 2:30 am. The police then tell Chris and Graeme they will not return the bail money. Chris has no money to pay Graeme and Graeme gets very angry. They have a big argument, and their friendship sours. Chris, who recently attended a LAW510 course argues that it wasn't his fault anyway as he felt under duress from the other guy. Chris never pays Graeme any money, so JGraeme wants to take legal action to get the money back. After an argument with another individual, Chris broke a window at 2:30 am. He was taken into custody. Chris approaches his friend Graeme and asks him if he would be willing to pay $1,000 to bail him out ofjail. This is on the condition that Chris attends court the following Monday. Chris misses his court date. Graeme's money will not be repaid bythe police, and Chris will not be able to repay him either. This en rages Graeme, who now demands payment.
