Hi there,

Im writing a report on narcissism and need help writing my discussion, i have attached the Hypotheses, results and references:

Details:

Narcissism is a trait that involves inflated evaluation of talents, a sense of entitlement, along with a lack of empathy and psychological awareness. Within this broad definition, there are two major types of narcissism recognised by personality researchers: grandiose and vulnerable. Grandiose narcissism is characterised by arrogance and feelings of superiority along with the desire for admiration. Vulnerable narcissism is quite different and is characterised by hypersensitivity, defensiveness and a desire for acceptance. Both types of narcissism can be measured on a continuum using survey questions.

Hypotheses:

  1. Grandiose narcissism will be positively correlated with self-esteem.
  2. Vulnerable narcissism will be negatively correlated with self-esteem.
  3. Grandiose narcissism will be positively correlated with promotion focus.
  4. Vulnerable narcissism will be negatively correlated with promotion focus.
