hi this is for statistics.

when asked to find P(A and C) given that : A = 0.40 and C= 0.35 and A/C = 0.34. The formula i have for dependent events is P(A and B) = P(A) x P(B/A) . Which i thought would be then P(C) x P (A/C) > However the answer was given as P(A) x P (A/C) which i found very confusing and gave me a wrong product. Please explain why the formula was twisted.
