HILARY LARSON: INSTRUCTIONS TRANSCRIPT

Stephen is my boyfriend. Was my boyfriend...It all kicked off today.

He whatsapped me and said come over. He wanted a haircut. I am a hairdresser. I have a B'Tech in hairdressing and an studying a business degree part-time.

My shift at Knife Edge hair salon finished at 12 noon. I went straight to Stephen's. I'd been at work, so not had any alcohol. It is only 10-minutes walk. He lives on Appletree Avenue. I had my scissors with me as I had just finished my shift and I was going to cut his hair.

I got to Stephen's about 12.10pm. I rang the doorbell and he let me in. He then went and sat in a chair in the kitchen. He had a towel round his shoulders.

He has long hair which he wears in a ponytail. It is his pride and joy. Spends longer on it than I spend on mine and I'm a hairdresser!

He said give me a trim. I said OK how much. I know taking too much off would make him mad. Our relationship is pretty fiery at the best of times. He has a bit of a temper. Don't do to get on the wrong side. Last time I did I ended up in hospital with a broken arm and concussion. He was sorry after though. Anyway, always take carewith his hair. Don't want to set him off.

Stephen asked me to cut an inch off. I showed him how much an inch was and he went yeah.

I kept his hair in the pony and took off maybe a 14 of an inch. I showed him and he jumped up and attacked me. He pushed me against the kitchen cabinets and started strangling me. I still had my scissors in my hand and cut off his ponytail to get him to stop. I hit him in the face with his ponytail. Stephen wailed and dropped to the floor. I dropped my scissors and ran out of the door. I live on Oak Avenue. I got out of the Stephen's front door and was about to run home when the police stopped me and arrested me for s47 assault. I was in tears. I tried to tell them that it was me who had been assaulted but they did not listen. I was just outside

I have a sore neck. It has red marks around it that look like fingers and is starting to bruise.
