History of Process Documentation

Research the internet for sources that discuss the history of flow charting and process documentation. Make sure you do extensive research on when flowcharting was first used, and how it evolved in different areas in business. I am looking for several evolutions. Then describe and discuss most fascinating aspect to problem solving using flow charting. Read/describe how process analysis lead to dramatic improvement or competitive advantage. Find information on BPMN and how it might be replacing flow charting.
