Holiday has several farms in southwest Virginia where they grow Christmas trees. During 2017, they harvested 120,000 trees. The cost associated with planting, growing and harvesting the trees was $5.50 per tree. At the time of harvest, the trees were selling for $38 per tree. Holiday typically enters into contracts to sell the trees to the box hardware stores such as Lowes and Home Depot. Holiday sold 92% of the trees in 2017 for $42 per tree.
