Case Study Description use case diagram and description
E-marketing is the marketing of products or services using digital technology, such as the Internet, mobile phones, social networking sites, search engines, email, etc. E-marketing tools are in harmony with this digital technology. Market research uses a tool such as Google Keyword Planner, and analysis of your marketing efforts is done using a tool such as Facebook. Insights, as for your ads, their platforms are also digital, such as Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising. E-marketing represents a completely new approach to understanding customer behavior, starting from measuring the number of downloads, likes, visits, views, comments and interactions and ending with ratings, reviews and surveys. In recent years, the use of websites and social networking sites by Palestinian citizens has increased to enhance social communication, to browse news and events, to browse and purchase products, etc. Suppose that an investor asked you to develop an online mall called (PallMall.ps) that displays and markets many products such as smart phones, cars, clothes, electronics, etc.
The mall owner aims to enable citizens to view and purchase products from the mall directly, and in doing so he reduces the costs of selling in the traditional way or through sales representatives (reducing employee costs, mall fees). Increase sales by 30% by selling to customers from different geographical regions. The mall owner aims to inform customers about the offers that the mall offers at specific time periods. The mall aims to enable citizens to compare product specifications and prices. In addition, citizens are allowed to view, buy, and sell products offered electronically as follows:
[1] All products are classified into a group of categories such as smartphones, cars, clothes, electronics, gifts, etc. (PallMall.ps) must display all categories and products for each category, a description of each category and each product, and the price of each product. The user can browse all the products within a category and see all the details of this product. For example, the user can browse the product (Dell-Laptop) in the (Electronics) category and view the details of this product (product name, device specifications and hardware parts, condition (available/unavailable), wholesale price, retail price (price to customer), pictures /Product video).
[2] The user can choose more than one product and add them to the Comparison Cart and compare the specifications of the products added to the comparison cart. Here, the user can add products of the same type to the comparison basket (for example: laptop). Then, all products added to the comparison basket are displayed on one web page in the form of a table to enable the user to see the differences between the specifications of the products to be compared. Also, the user can manage the comparison basket as follows:
Browse the details of the products that have been added to the comparison cart by clicking on the browse button. Where a web page is displayed displaying the product details.
Delete a product from the comparison basket. Here the product is removed from the comparison basket.
Editing the details of a product added to the comparison cart (if possible). For example, changing the memory size or adding a graphics card to a laptop has been added to the comparison basket. Here, the product price must be recalculated based on the adjustment.
Choose a product to purchase by clicking on the add to shopping cart button. Here the system must open the product page and ask the user to specify the quantity of this product to be added to the shopping cart (see point 3).
[3] The user can choose one or more products and add them to the shopping cart, and then manage the shopping cart as follows:
Browse the details of the products that have been added to the shopping cart
Delete a product from the shopping cart. Here the product is removed from the shopping cart.
Modifying the details of a product added to the shopping cart (if possible), such as increasing the quantity or changing the specifications
After that, the user can continue and confirm the purchase order by paying the order amount via MasterCard or any other payment method. Here, the user must be registered and logged in to the site. If he is not registered, he must register on the site by filling out the registration form (ID number, full name, mobile number, address, password).
Note: There should be a page that displays products that have already been purchased
[4] The sales employee for PalMall.ps processes purchase orders (accepting or rejecting the purchase order for some reason, such as running out of product quantity...). After that, the employee communicates with the user by sending a message and delivering the orders that have been accepted through the free delivery service.
