Recently, Honey Special was given a right to distribute the products for market in Malaysia. The management is interested to have an Online Ordering System (OOS) for the company and has set up a system review committee to take further actions. The followings are summaries of discussions outcome raised by the system review committee team members.
“Once a customer accesses to the site, he/she should be able to view product images together with the details and products prices. If the customer decided to purchase certain products, he/she can select the products and key in quantity needed. Then, the system will provide feedback on products availability. If the products are not available, the system will transfer the order to the wish lists. Once the products are available, the system will notify the customer on product availability and request the customer to confirm order.”
“If the customer is a new customer, he/she has to fill in details such as name, address, phone number and e-mail address, then proceeds to the next process. For existing customers, they are required to enter their e-mail address and password in the fields given to access to the system.”
“Once logged-in, a customer can view his/her historical transactions and points earned from previous transactions. Customer can redeem the points earned to buy honey products at lower price.”
“Postage charge of RM7 per item for delivery in Peninsular Malaysia and RM15 for shipping to Sabah and Sarawak. Upon completion, the system will produce invoice and delivery order.”
“Finally, a payment screen will appear that accepts credit card and debit card. The customer will fill in card numbers and card’s details. Once the process is complete, the system will generate payment receipt for the customer to retain and send that data to accounts department and shipping department for goods delivery.”
