$$ Each floor is equipped with $540$ PC outlets distributed strategically to cater to the computing needs of hospital staff, administrative personnel, and patients.

$$ On every floor there are $16$ WiFi access points for hospital personel

$3.$ Access Control and CCTV

$$ On every floor, implement access control systems for $34$ doors, regulating entry to secure areas.

$$ Additionally, install $28$ CCTV $$ IP cameras per floor for enhanced security and monitoring.

$4.$ Telecommunication Rooms

$$ The hospital pointed telecommunication rooms on each floor to house networking equipment.

$$ Hospitals anticipate the power consumption in each telecommunication room will be approximately $4200$W$,$ supporting the networking needs of the respective floor.

Data Center Infrastructure:

$5.$ Server Configuration

$$ In the data center, host $43$ servers, each occupying $2$U of rack space. These servers cater to various hospital applications and services.

$6.$ Storage System

$$ Include a disk array with a controller, occupying $5$U of rack space, and five disk shelves, each sized $3$U$.$ This storage system ensures efficient data storage and retrieval for hospital operations.

$7.$ Power Consumption

$$ The overall power consumption in the data center is no less than $40,000$W$,$ estimated on the combined energy needs of servers, storage systems, and other supporting infrastructure.

$8.$ Uninterruptible Power Supply $($UPS$)$

$$ There is a UPS system consisting of a Management Module $(5$U$)$ and $15$ Batteries $(3$U each$).$ This ensures continuous power supply and protection against potential outages or fluctuations.

Part $1$: Data Center Design

$1.$ Data Center Location and Layout

$$ Hospital Identified a suitable location within the hospital building for the data center.

$$ They consider factors like proximity to critical services, security, and environmental controls.

$2.$ Rack and Equipment Placement

$$ Plan the number and placement of server racks and networking equipment within the data center.

$$ Consider redundancy, scalability, and ease of maintenance in your rack layout.

$3.$ Environmental Controls

$$ Specify the environmental controls required to maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels within the data center.

$$ Address any special considerations for a hospital setting, such as air quality and infection control.

$5.$ Physical Security

$$ Propose a physical security plan$/$procedure for the data center.

$$ Identify access control systems, surveillance camera placement, and other security measures to ensure the protection of sensitive equipment and data.
