Summary
In this study, data from a survey conducted in 2018 in the US, K-12 public schools, were analyzed in order to find differences and correlations between variables. This was done in spite of understanding the crime and safety of students present in K-12 public schools. The variables analyzed were:............The aforementioned variables were subjected to various statistical tests, such as boxplots, scatterplots, etc. Findings suggest that....
Introduction
Methodology
During this study, data was collected from a survey conducted in 2018 in the US in K-12 public schools to determine the crime and safety of students present in these schools. Once with the data, the Rstudio platform will be used to be able to analyze the data collected in a clearer way. In Rstudio, various exercises were carried out such as the associations of different variables, comparing different variables and making graphs such as the boxplot and the scatterplot to be able to appreciate the results more clearly and easily. Once the practice of these data has been carried out, we will be able to determine a plan for the future to see how to help this situation of crime and security that US public school students present between K-12.
Results of the statisticals analysis
1. Describe the total number of incidents in these schools (variable "Incidents"). Which
observations are potential outliers? How many potential outliers are there?
2. Compare the total number of incidents (variable "Incidents") by the crime level where
school is located (variable "Crime.level").
3. Describe the linear association between the percentage of students who considered
academic achievement to be very important (variable "Academic.achievement") and the
total number of incidents (variable "Incidents").
4. Investigate if there is an association between the crime level where school is located
(variable "Crime.level") and how often student bullying occurs (variable "Bullying").
