How can I make a vu meter with opamps that receives the signal from an audio amplifier? I made an audio amplifier with a LM386 and after testing it, I've realized it works, but now I want to take such output and connect it to a vumeter so the LEDs will turn on according to the audio levels. I've tried to do so, but the LEDs never turn off, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong or what I need to change.

If you could help me with the schematic that would be great? And as I said before, the vumeter must be with opamps. Thank you in advance.
