How can I reply to the following peer post?
Good evening,
Dealing with foreign suppliers there are many upsides and downs sides. Communicating between domestic manufactures could be an issue. Trying to build a great relationship between the companies if they can't communicate without an interpreter can hinder the relationship. Having an interpreter for all deals and contracts, they will need a very trusty interpreter and agreement in place to keep confidential information. Understanding the different regulations to ship and receive different for shipments if overseas. Also, having a understanding of the culture they are doing business with will play a part in building a relationship for further business deals.
Possible cheaper cost of raw materials and labor can be a huge upside to doing business with a domestic manufacture. Building a relationship for more business which helps with saving overall. Possibles networking to other domestic manufactures for other raw materials and labors.
Understanding the culture plays part in many different areas. Number one is to not offend another culture. For example, doing business with a very conservative Muslim, understand the ends and out. How one could be offended for something Americans think is normal behaviors. I think understanding and adapting when you need a business meeting or making sure you are addressing everyone in the respect to culture could make a big difference in a long way. Could help with networking in different area to build relationship and help with cost.
