How can I reply to the following peer post?

Hello class,

There are always some sort of issue that arises when dealing with international suppliers. Most of the issues are simply and easy to correct because the issue was caused by miscommunication or other simple things. Although not all issue are easy to get by. A social and labor issue that manufacturers are likely to face when dealing with international suppliers is bad working conditions for the workers. The United States has regulations and standards to follow for their business and employees but many foreign countries do not have that luxury and their workers are forced to work long hours in an uncomfortable and hazardous environment with inadequate protection. This could be unsanitary conditions, no protective equipment for the job they are doing or even no schedule for the employees with an overload of work to be completed.

It is important to understand the cultural background of a foreign supplier because it will allow you to build a better relationship with them, and avoiding miscommunication. A company who is doing business in another country is a guest in their country and should know local traditions and customs to show respect. Communication is the biggest factor in any business transaction and allows for negotiation to make a deal. When working with other countries, you need to ensure that the information you are providing is clear and can be understood by others who have a different culture in the situation. A big factor when outsourcing work to another country is the affects that the job has on the environment. In the United States and many other countries there are strict guidelines on how to proper protect the environment, this would be by not dumping oil or hazardous substances into the local waterways, or other events that would cause harm to the environment. Not all countries have these guidelines and may do whatever is easiest for them to complete the job that you need done. This would lead to your company working with another who is making negative impacts on the environment because they were most likely the cheapest to produce the product that was in need. This is not a necessary step to take and can be avoided by working with another supplier or even letting them know the guidelines they need to follow to produce the order, and if it can not be done then the company will have to find another supplier.
