How can I respond to the following peer post?

Good evening fellow classmates and professor,

We are already halfway through the class; the time is going fast. This week, we are discussing delivery methods and looking at retailers that would be better suited for direct vs. milk run methods.

When I think about what type of retailers would be best suited for direct delivery, the first thing that comes to my mind is furniture retailers. These retailers would be most beneficial because it requires them to go to one specific house to make a delivery. As a result, they need to look at some factors when loading their truck, such as which house am I delivering to first as that needs to be the last goods loaded to ensure that they don't need to move everything out of the truck to access the goods that were purchased. Additionally, the route that the delivery truck takes changes day to day because you are not always delivering furniture to the same house week after week or day after day.

When looking at which retailers would be better approaching their deliveries in the milk run fashion, I immediately think of Amazon as they benefit from having set and established routes that the driver would drive every day and would be able to service more houses with maximum efficiency with minimal manpower. In this method, one Amazon delivery driver would be able to service 100- 1000+ homes, dependent if the driver is in a rural (country) or urban (city) area. This is very similar to what the United States Postal Service does to ensure that everyone is able to receive their mail.
