The four primary objectives of psychology are to describe, explain, predict, and alter or control the mind and behavior of others. As an interdisciplinary and multifaceted science, psychology encompasses diverse subfields, such as social behavior, human development, and cognitive functions. Researchers study group interactions, how culture influences our thinking, and how technology impacts human relationships. The most significant contributions that the participants of social psychology made to social behavior research were the studies they conducted on the social factors that contributed to human behavior. Social psychology aims to understand how society impacts individuals and how individual behaviors affect the community. It works towards these goals by studying scientifically how humans operate in groups. Individuals will alter their behavior to align with the social situation. Social psychology is the study of how individuals' thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are influenced by the actual, imagined, or implied presence of others. Psychologists utilize the knowledge gained through research to develop evidence-based strategies that address problems and improve lives. The result is that psychological science presents new and better ways for people to live and thrive in a complex world. Social psychologists employ experimental methods to study social interaction and social groups. A situation arises, and we have thoughts about the facts of that situation; those thoughts trigger feelings, and based on those feelings, we engage in behaviors that, in turn, contribute to the problem either negatively or negatively, and the cycle continues.
