How do I go about creating a location service class in android studio. I want the service to get the latitude and longitude when it is run, without worrying about updating the location. Since I want this service to be run in the background, my understanding is that I have to use intentservice. I am using FusedLocationProviderClient from google play services to get my lat and long, but I am stuck on trying to return the values to the activity that starts the location service.
