How do I write up the results of this analysis? How do I determine if it significant. Is the null hypothesis rejected? This is the write up that I have so far. The cross tabulation was completed between the variable "sex" and "grass". The chi square analysis showed that there was a significant difference between the percentage of male and females who favored legalizing marijuana, x2 (1, N = 611) = 1.76, p < .05. The percentage of males who favored legalizing marijuana was 44.4%, whereas the percentage of females was 39.1%. The percentage of males who were not in favor of legalizing marijuana was 55.6%, whereas the percentage of females that were not in favor of legalizing marijuana was 60.9%.

No cells have <5, so this assumption was met.

This is what I have so far for the write up. I need help figuring out if the p value is more that the chosen significance level and if the null hypothesis is rejected or not.
