How do the following frameworks: utilitarianism, virtue ethics, and principle based ethics relate to work and participation rights. For example, if some employees work under dangerous conditions and receive little to no pay, what would each framework do? Should employees be fired for trying to unionize? I have to pretend to prepare for a quarterly meeting as an operations manager.
One of my direct reports explained to me that the production targets are increasingly hard to make which lead to errors that are dangerous to workers and reduce the durability of the product.
I personally agree with principle based ethics in this case, but I would like to see the perspective of utilitarianism.
