You need to conduct an extensive literature review (low-rise buildings, aerodynamics of low-rise buildings, flow characteristics) and formulate your aim and methodology. You will prepare a 4-page report (maximum) on what you understood of the topic and submit it in week 5 during your lab session. This is going to be worth 4%. The report must include an in-depth theory related to the project. You can focus on points (but not limited to) mentioned below: 1. What is a low-rise building? 2. Factors that influence wind loads on low-rise buildings. 3. Flow characteristics around low-rise buildings. 4. How to make low-rise buildings more hurricane resistant?
