How I respond to the below post?

The data are daily high temperatures in a town for one month.

I believe that the best unit of measurement for this example is to find the mean. The string of numbers follows a gradual increase in average temperature with no significant outliers present. The median in this example would work as well as the number string again is not barred with outliers and follows a steady increase. The mode in this would not help because it does not tell a true average of the average temperature.

The following data show the lengths of boats moored in a marina.

16,17,19,20,20,21,23,24,25,25,25,26,26,27,27,27,27, 28,29,30,32,33,33,34,35,37,39,40

In this example, I would choose again wither mean or median. They both equal 27. Meanwhile, mode in this example does give us 27 but only because it just so happened that it worked out.

Cooking Temperatures (in Fahrenheit) listed on various recipes

175, 250, 300, 300, 325, 325, 325, 350, 350, 350, 350, 350, 375, 400, 450.

In this example, I believe mode to be the best measurement to use. Because the range of numbers is somewhat limited are the numbers have some outliers such as 175 and 450. This would make median and mean not give us an accurate number to what the average is. Mean while 350 appears 5 times and is generally an average cooking temp on most recipes.
