How many great employees are we missing out on because of the cost and difficulty of finding good daycare?

An in-house daycare facility would help to decrease the shortage of staff that our facility and many others like it are experiencing.

The average cost of daycare in the state of "Indianais $10,150, or $846 per month, according to the Economic Policy Institute." (Richter, 2023) Many families choose not to be dual income due to the cost of daycare. The trust that must be placed with complete strangers can be very difficult for parents.

Our facility has space available to set up a daycare that can cut the cost of starting a daycare, which is between $10,000 and $50,000. Yes, we would need to hire staff to work and manage the daycare, and to offset the cost we could charge a minimal amount to the employee to use the daycare. Convenience, decreased cost, and peace of mind can be given to current employees and new hires.

Being able to increase staffing in the hospital without outsourcing, which can cost triple the hourly wage, would increase the overall profit of the facility.

According to Bplans (2016), The 7 most essential details to involve in an elevator pitch include the problem, the solution, the targeted market, the competition, your team, the financial summary, and important milestones. Below is my elevator pitch:

Good afternoon, Mr. Golden. I appreciate the opportunity to share a compelling project that has the potential to elevate our hospital's impact on the community. I propose the establishment of a cutting-edge Ambulatory Care Facility.

The Problem: Our community is experiencing a growing need for convenient healthcare services. While our hospital excels in its current capacity, there's a gap in meeting the rising demand for outpatient care, preventive services, and minor medical procedures.

The Solution: The creation of an Ambulatory Care Facility will address this need head-on. This dedicated facility is designed to not only alleviate pressure on our main hospital but also redefine the outpatient experience, making healthcare more accessible and patient-centric.

Target Market: Our focus is on individuals seeking outpatient services, preventive care, and routine medical procedures. From busy professionals needing quick health check-ups to seniors requiring regular monitoring, our facility aims to serve a broad demographic.

The Competition: While there are outpatient clinics in our vicinity, our unique selling proposition lies in being an extension of our renowned hospital. Leveraging our existing brand, expert medical staff, and seamless integration with the main hospital for complex cases, we position ourselves as the go-to outpatient destination.

Your Team: I've assembled a dedicated team of outpatient care specialists, administrative professionals, and project management experts. Together, we're committed to ensuring the seamless planning, implementation, and operation of the Ambulatory Care Facility.

Financial Summary: Our initial ask for the Ambulatory Care Facility is $2 million, covering facility setup, equipment acquisition, and staff training. With a conservative estimate, we project an annual revenue of $3 million by the end of the third year, resulting in a favorable return on investment. This revenue will be generated through outpatient service fees, preventive care packages, and collaborations with insurance providers.

List of Milestones: We have a comprehensive plan in place, including facility design, staff recruitment, regulatory approvals, and strategic marketing. Our goal is to kick off services seamlessly, continuously adapting based on the evolving needs of our community.

In conclusion, Mr. Golden, the Ambulatory Care Facility is not just a project; it's a strategic investment in the health and well-being of our community. I believe this initiative aligns seamlessly with our hospital's mission of providing accessible, high-quality healthcare.

I'd be honored to discuss this vision further and explore how we can bring this project to life for the benefit of our community and the continued success .
