This concept requires you to determine how and why economic activity and/or well-being changes or stays the same over time. You will analyze various economic indicators related to employment, trade, markets, economic inequality, and/or government intervention in the economy to identify changes in different communities, regions, and countries over time. One should also investigate various factors that contribute to economic change and/or help ensure stability.

What is a Research Proposal?

A research proposal is usually a written work that outlines the following:

Identifies the issue(s) you intend to research

Demonstrate your ability to conduct research and synthesize information from different sources.

Demonstrates your ability to assess the quality and validity of sources of research.

Convinces others of the significance of your research and that it is worthwhile to research

Outlines a clear plan for completing your research.

You should seek to determine what you would like to accomplish through your research, why it is significant

Research Proposal Requirements

Introduce your inquiry question should:

Outline the relevant research you have conducted thus far (a minimum of 10 annotated sources) and identify the major issues related to the course concepts (supply and demand, scarcity, markets, costs and benefit analysis, political and sociocultural factors and economic decision making, sustainability and stakeholders etc.)

Critically assess the validity of the research you conducted.

Devise a convincing argument for why your research question is significant and what will be gained by pursuing an answer to it.

Describe why your research question is relevant and use a current article, event, or issue that is related to your topic to reinforce the value of this area of study.

Outline your plan for completing the research and concluding your research.

Your video proposal should be comprehensive and demonstrate your thorough understanding of the topic and should demonstrate your understanding of the course concepts in Units 1-3.
