how should i respond to I chose blood type and emergency room length of stay for my two types of healthcare data. Blood type is qualitative. We know this because it does not have a numerical value; it is simply a label or description of a category. This data cannot be put into any meaningful order or used for numerical calculations, making it nominal (Frost, 2023). A simple systemic sample would be a good sampling method for this data type. An electronic health record could easily count every so many patients who present to a given clinic or hospital and estimate how many fall under each category. Length of stay is quantitative continuous data. This type of data measures time. It has a numerical value. The values can be placed in meaningful order and used for calculations. It is a ratio because zero equals an absence of a value (Kittle, 2024). Stratified sampling would be my choice for this data type. Patients could be categorized into arrival type and emergency severity index, giving an accurate and non-biased collection of time (Provost, 2011)
