A study that I have found is called "Frequency of Children vs Adults Carrying Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 Asymptomatically". In the study, children have been suggested as the facilitators of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 transmissions and amplification. This is the result of many affected children might be asymptomatic. In the study, research was conducted to investigate the frequency of individuals carrying SARS-CoV-2 among children admitted for noninfectious conditions and without any SARS-CoV-2-associated symptoms or signs and compare it with the frequency of individuals carrying SARS-CoV-2 among a similar adult population. The Method the was used is located at the Fondazione Ca' Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico in Milan, Italy. All patients who require hospitalization after accessing either the pediatric emergency department or the adult emergency department immediately undergo a nasopharyngeal swab for the detection of SARS-CoV-2. IF the first sample had negative results, a second one is administered within 12 to 48 hours. Eligible patients who were admitted for noninfectious conditions to this hospital from Match 1 to April 30, 2020.

As a result of the research, 881 children presented to the pediatric emergency department ad 83 children. This consisted of 34 girls and 49 boys. They all fulfilled the eligibility criteria. Along with that, out of 3610 adults, only 131 (51 women and 80 men) fulfilled the criteria. The conclusion is that children were found to be less frequently positive than adults. Eleven of 12 adults were positive for SARS-CoV-2 art the first swab.
