How will the automation of labor affect the job market in the future?

Artificial Intelligence is an interesting and exciting thing to look forward to in the future, presuming it doesn't kill us all. Cars driving themselves, being able to replicate human voice, and many other things may be coming in the future, but what does this mean for unskilled or lesser-skilled labor? If in the future we have self-driving trucks, then who needs truck drivers? When an AI can make a 5-star meal perfectly every time on time, why do you need a head chef? Of course, right now we cannot replicate such a thing, as our AI currently is not as advanced as it would need to be. But in the near future, this could become a real problem as the unemployment rate could skyrocket. Will the future job market be filled with robots and AI automated machines?
