How will you reply to this?
An issue that really interests me is the cost of living and how it has increased more than salaries to keep up with. I heard about inflation and saw the costs of goods and other needs go up and assumed that the salaries that people were making also were keeping up. In the NY Times article, More Americans are Struggling Financially, as Inflation Takes a Toll, the percentage of Americans who were saying that they are doing "at least OK financially" went from 78 percent in 2021 to 73 percent in 2023. The unemployment rate is said to be at a near century low yet this is being overshadowed by rising prices. According to surveys, 35 percent of Americans said that they were worse off than the year before when it was 20 percent in 2021, and just 19 percent said they were better off than the year before. I don't focus much on a lot of the issues that take place but I am always curious what decisions are going to be made when it comes to the country's economy
