As a team, decide the on the foreign market, the product/service, who will develop criteria (I, II, & III). provide a 2 pages explain to 'each criterion' to analyzing a foreign market's business environment for potential entry. 3. Criterion I: Introduction & Market's Infrastructure Analysis 1. Provide an introduction of the main topics for the entire paper. 2. Introduce the foreign market (for example, Which market? Why?). And a product/service your company will sell in the chosen market. o Briefly describe the product/service. Should I sell my products or service in my selected country? Why? 3. Analyze two types of the foreign market's infrastructure. A country's infrastructure consists of organizational system of resources needed to operate a business which include transportation and communication systems, IT infrastructure, power plants (roads, water ports, energy, airports, utilities, mass transit, etc.). o Analyze the two types of infrastructure system chosen (IT, transportation, communications infrastructure) in the foreign market, how will they impact business operations? Why? o Why should the business care about a poor country infrastructure? o How do transportation/IT infrastructures affect business? Criterion II: Sociocultural Forces Analysis 1. Choose and analyze three critical sociocultural forces. Sociocultural factors are customs, lifestyles and values that characterize a society. More specifically, cultural aspects include aesthetics, education, language, law and politics, religion, social organizations, technology and material culture, values, and attitudes. Social factors include reference groups, family, role, and status in the society. For example: o You can also figure out if the customers are willing to try a new product or not looking at the Dimensions. Discuss factors that influence purchasing decisions. o The power distance, habit, and masculinity are essential factors that foreign businesses should analyze because those will relate how companies manage, advertise their products. o Companies may need to see how people are treated in the work environment, so they can adjust to fit in there.
