It might be a tactic to boost sales in the first place by appealing to people who are worried about the environment. Second, it might be a tactic to deflect criticism from environmentalists and other groups. Not to mention, it may be used to provide the impression that a company is more socially conscious without actually making any meaningful changes.

Fiji water's commercial is an illustration of greenwashing since it tries to make the product appear more environmentally friendly than it is. The advertisement emphasizes that the water comes from a "pristine" environment, while in reality, it must be carried across a considerable distance, which has a substantial carbon impact.A sizable amount of emissions are produced as a result of long-distance shipping (McNamee, 2019).The commercial is misleading since it suggests that the product is more environmentally friendly when it is not. To increase the quality of the choices you make regarding the products you buy, it is crucial to be aware of greenwashing.

The advertising that was chosen would not have received my approval if I were the Chief Executive Officer of Fiji Water. Due to inaccurate information in marketing, consumers are led to assume that the product is better for the environment than it is. Additionally, if clients learn that the product is not as environmentally friendly as they had assumed, the advertisement can damage the company's reputation.

I wouldn't have authorized it if I was the CEO. The advertisement for Fiji bottled water is misleading since it portrays the product as being environmentally beneficial when, in fact, it has a significant carbon footprint. The water is delivered from Fiji to the US, despite the advertisement's claim that it comes from a pure, natural setting. This choice is not environmentally friendly and leaves a substantial carbon imprint.
