How would you answer to this?
" In 2021 according to The Bureau of Justise and Statistics 1 in 10 people have been victims of identity theft in the past 12 months. About 1 in 5 people will experience identity theft in their lifetime. In 2021 4% had their credit card misused while 3% had their bank account misused and 2% experienced misuse of their e-mail or social media account. 1% had personal information misused such as using it for medical care or for applying for a job. On average victims sustained financial losses of $880, victims of bank account misuse averaged at $3,430 and credit card misuse is averaged at 620 dollars.
I do not think it will have an affect on people using the internet or peoples willingness to use the internet. I think some people will ignore the risk. I do know a number of people who have Identity theft insurance. I hope technology progresses and allows consumers to be a little safer. Identity theft is scary!"
